Fieldwork is the best part of a research project for me; this is why I have been working as a field assistant in several projects for the last 15 years. It is not just about collecting data, sampling, or make experiments, it is about being able to see the frame of the big picture too.

My background is mainly in terrestrial ecology: birds and bats as seeds dispersal, invasive plants, monitoring of dung beetles and diurnal butterflies diversity, hunting surveys on indigenous communities, just to mention some of the projects that I worked. In the last 6 years, I got involved in marine biology projects at Simon Bolivar University in Venezuela, James Cook University, and the Australian Institute of Marine Science.

Among my interests are photography and filmmaking. I completed a Master's in filmmaking in Madrid back in 2012 and collaborated actively at the Australian Broadcast Company workshops between 2013 and 2016.
